The Government’s decisions taken today have been revealed, including aid for the families of police officers killed in the line of duty and the dispatch of military forces to Gaza.
The Minister of Internal Affairs, Besfort Lamallari, stated that the families of police officers who have fallen in the line of duty will benefit from salaries and family pensions, and more.
“Two important decisions have been adopted. The decision that determines the measures and procedures for police officers. The compensation and support that officers who are injured in the line of duty should receive. Good news for the very fact that it addresses all the necessary elements such as immediate assistance provided to the families of police officers who have fallen in the line of duty.
“The immediate assistance goes up to 10 gross monthly salaries of the deceased employee, family pension, full scholarships for children and priority employment of family members of police officers who have fallen on duty. Even free housing for spouses and minor children who will benefit from housing built by the National Authority or those coming from projects as well as housing that has been confiscated from organized crime,” said Lamallari.
On the other hand, the Minister of Defense, Ermal Nufi, stated that Albania will send staff officers to Gaza, but their number has not yet been determined.
“Next week, we will make the decision, Albania has made a commitment and it is related to the fact that we will send staff officers to Gaza. Albania will be part of these troops, we have reviewed the circumstances in Gaza and we will send staff officers. The NATO summit has been decided to take place in Albania. Regarding the development of summits, decisions are made by the heads of state. The summit will take place in 2027, or not, this will be decided by the heads of state of the member states,” said Minister Nufi./Top Channel
