A book symbolically delivered to SPAK has become the center of political debate, as the group of protesters who delivered it demands that “The Albanian Files” serve as the basis for investigations into Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Following this move, Rama reacted on social media with an ironic post, calling the publication “The Cursed Book.” He said that the book is expected to be released on the market, while not sparing sarcasm about the way it has been used in SPAK.
According to him, the case is unusual, as a book is being treated as an element of a criminal case. “THE CURSED BOOK will soon be in ‘Adrion’, as it just entered history today as the first book to be treated as evidence of a crime 80 years after the fall of Nazism and 35 years after the fall of communism,” he wrote.
On the other hand, the protesters who submitted the document to the Special Prosecutor’s Office present it as a summary of 523 projects, which according to them evidence violations such as lack of public consultations, conflicts of interest and favoritism of private interests. They asked SPAK to launch investigations and expressed support for the institution.
